Featured Bloggger of the week

Erika Hoagland (also known as Ravyn) is an experienced writer and a recent college graduate. She has been roleplaying for seven years and writing stories nearly all her life. She is making use of these skills to work as a fluff-writer for Victorious Press, an independent tabletop game design company.

From her blog http://exchangeofrealities.today.com/ she is making an attempt to bring the worlds of table-top roleplaying and writing closer together by illustrating techniques usable in both formats. I think you should visit her blog if you’re interested in writing and roleplaying. She will help you to explore the synergy between the writer’s world and the gamer’s, and show members of both the way to best take advantage of the tricks of the trade.

I must thank all the bloggers who responded positively to be featured here. Please be patient till I go through your blogs and select randomly. For those who didn’t see the announcement regarding this and if you want to be selected as the blogger of the week to be featured please contact me or submit your URL here. By the way, any blogs that are pornographic, defamatory, libelous, tortuous, vulgar, obscene, invasive of privacy, racially or ethnically objectionable, hateful, promotes or provides instructional information about illegal activities, or promotes any act of cruelty to animals will not be featured. Good thing I found this list. Actually, I also don’t know meanings of some of these words. But anyway find a dictionary and check whether you have any of these because I really do not like to reject a request but will have no other option to do so if it is necessary.(I must thank http://www.freepixels.com for the image)

A special thank for the supporters who encouraged me last week at

Life in a fish tank

I had to take my mother to her friend's place yesterday. I really don’t mind helping her, but waiting for hours and listening to them is not that easy. Some days they go on for hours and I have to wait there like a dummy. It’s true that I make contributions for a very lethargic rate of one word per hour. I listen most of the time because it takes an extra effort to talk. I am waiting very patiently for someone to come up with a contest for the laziest in the world because I have a good chance of grabbing the first place. My mother’s friend is the opposite. She had only few hours to catch the flight to another country. She went to and fro at an unbelievable speed (from my point of view) and kept on talking at the same speed. I was horrified. Anyway I was delighted to hear that I will be able to get away from that place earlier than usual. At the end I had to drag my mother out after a long spell of TWO hours because her good friend was having a tough time managing words and work at the same time. In fact she was out of breath. Unfortunately, my mother didn’t notice this and her friend was not ready to give-up talking. So I had to intervene before she gets hospitalized for high blood pressure.

I almost forgot the topic. While I was waiting I had a good view of their fish tank. Four to five creatures were moving to and fro like my mother’s friend. Luckily they didn’t make any noise like her. They moved forward, backward, turned this way, that way and again back. I really felt sorry for them because they will be moving to and fro in that small fish tank till they die. Then again we are not that different from them. Want to increase your web site rank?

I found a wonderful web site that gives you unlimited quality backlinks to increase your web site rank. This is too good to be true. You get credit for sharing your work. The more credits you earn, the better your websites will rank. Qassia also has the best ad revenue sharing system on the Internet, so in effect you get paid for promoting your websites.

Sorry, I am not reviewing them. I just wanted to share with you this amazing site. But unfortunately Qassia is currently in closed beta. That means, you can sign up only if you were referred by someone who is already a member. Qassia is not available to the general public at this time, but you can put your name on their waiting list. Don’t worry, I got a referral link today and it is my pleasure to invite all my friends who visit my blog. Please feel free to visit Qassia

Weight loss and the magical paste

I was really busy with my article on ‘weight loss’ and didn’t have time to post here. Whenever I visit hubpages to publish my articles I get stuck there. There’re so many interesting hubs to read and I just don’t have time. This is pathetic. Somehow I managed to come out today.

I do not like to type my article here. But I wanted to share with you the recipe for the magical paste since this is a very serious problem faced by many. This will help you to get rid of fat.

Magical Paste

Take the same quantity from the following and mix it up. Grind or squash it to make paste. Add lime and take one teaspoon with your lunch or dinner.

Curry leaves
Malabar Tamarind (Goraka)
Pepper
Garlic
Salt

(Warning: have a glass of water next to your plate if you’re not familiar with spicy food)

Eating the paste alone will not work if you neglect the basics. If you want to find more about the basics please visit How to maintain a good figure and get rid of fat?

In memory of a cockroach

This is another sad story. I am totally responsible for this. You see I have this bad habit of walking without watching where I am going. I keep on thinking about what I write or what I have written. Yesterday when I was walking about like this I heard a noise and felt something under my foot wear. I jumped aside to take a look. Luckily no one was around to laugh at me. I never knew I can jump like that. If I knew I would have ended up at the Olympics. Current record holder should thank me for not taking part. Now back to the story. To my utmost horror I found a cockroach under my foot wear. It was struggling for his life. I just waited there watching the fellow suffer like a dummy. I couldn’t do anything to help. Felt like taking the fellow to the vet. But then again the vet will not be able to fix the broken parts. Clumsy me. Should have watched where I was going. Should have been mindful. This is awful. I really feel bad. So I thought of dedicating this post for that poor creature who sacrificed his life for my clumsiness. Now don’t laugh. This is not a laughing matter. I’m pretty serious.

Get paid to review your neighbor's pet?

Very recently I came to know about a very interesting site called Review Stream where you can review anything around you including stores on your street, the shops you visited, any product you have used or even your neighbor’s pets and get paid for your reviews. Current review rate is $ 2.00 (subject to change it seems). If you write five reviews a day you can easily make $300.00 for that month. I think this is a very good site for someone with a writing talent.

You may think that I am writing a review about them. No, I am not planning anything like that. I only wanted to share this opportunity with you. I also do not have time. I spent hours there reading what others have written to understand the basics. You should do the same if you are planning to start reviewing. But do not take hours like me. I am always slow. I just don’t know the reason for this. Anyway we should always start reading before taking up writing. By the way I must repeat my old story here, ‘I am new to this site and don’t know much about them’.

The destiny of a pen

This is a very sad story of a pen. Actually this is heartbreaking. You may laugh. But, this is horrible. I am totally responsible for this. I will not blame anyone. Now, where did I keep my tissues?
